Illustration Friday Challenge: Winter

This is my kitten, Angela, during one of her more quiet moments. Usually she's what we affectionaly call "Superconductor Kitty"

Right now she sits quietly on the window sill and waits, waits, waits. It's as if she's asking, "What time does the show start?" Answer? Not until she stops sitting there!

I Am Proud of My Painting!!



I have made three paintings of my kitten, Angela. This is the one I'm proudest of.

And it's nice to have mementos of her kittenhood, because now that she's a big grown up cat,

She's huge! She is obviously of Maine Coon origins.

We found her in our front field, we are sketchy on her origins. But there is a great big daddy looking cat that's black and white who wanders around our place.

This photo really does not do her justice. She must weigh 20 pounds! And although she's not skinny, neither is she fat.



Does she look like she has attitude? Well, she does!

Consignment , Spreading my wings


I am proud to announce that I have written a small article for "Quilts Galore and More" blog. It's just a little first hand account of how I got started knitting and how it became my obsession.


Yesterday's big event was taking a supply of my hand painted tiles and blank note cards to an adorable little floral shop called, Skye Design Florist. They are also a gift boutique and have put the items I brought to them on display, on consignment. The terms are very go

Until 3 years ago, this little clapboard cottage was a bait and tackle shop. It sits on a busy thoroughfare, right close by the marinas.

Fishermen would walk from the marina side to buy their moss bunker for the "chum" pots, used as bait.

Well, my friend Becky bought the shop and started doo-dahing it up. But the fishermen came back, after the winter season, and were so dissapointed that the bait shop was gone, that she decided to install a freezer at the back of the shop and keeps it filled with bunker, spearing, shrimp and squid!

Now the fishermen are happy! And she's happy, and I'm happy!
We're just all so galdurned happy!

Learning the Ropes
















Lately I've been able to concentrate a little more steadily on promotion of my Etsy shops.  I've figured out how to plant Etsy minis on my blog and on my Facebook account, and how to change out my avatar on Twitter.  And I've sold two canvas growth charts in one week!  Way!
                                                                                                                                                              
I did a voltunteer job this week for my daughter's Venturing Crew.  A couple of weeks ago they tie dyed t shirts to where at this weekends 
Venture Daze Camperee at Boy Scout Camp.  I took all 16 of them and stenciled on our crew number; Crew 144.  I think they cam out smashing!

I've also been posting more items on my Etsy supply shop, www.finishthis.etsy.com.
I've come into a wind fall of vintage knitting and crochet books and ma
gazines.  I'm gleaning out of them all the things I really want to make and then listing them.  They're a neat little picture of the past.

ning , just beginning, to understand the whole marketing thing.  Well, maybe not, but if I take things tiny step by tiny sep I just might ma
ke some progress.
